While cherishing the reminiscences of our stay in sir Sayajirao Diamond Jubilee boys Hostel at Vadodara,Where all the facilities including stay,food,collage fees,books,and even cloths were provided free of charge , we the alumni avoked some serious thoughts.

“Where would have we been,if some one would not have given us support ? “

” Do we ever feel grateful to those who made us capable of being so HIGH in the socity?

“Do we ever think of people whose tatent just go buried because of not getting an opportunity?

These thoughts were the geneis of UPASANA CHARITABLE TRUST.

Life is most persistent question is ” What are we doing for others?.We the alumni , attribute the credit of our progress and success in our life to our stay in DIAMOND JUBILEE HOSTEL,where our character was shaped along with our education career.The UPASANA CHARITABLE TRUST came into existence with the above basic thoughts.The trust observed that ,There is no such kind of institute in the present environment and the society faces grave crisis of character.

Upasana Charitable Trust ,{formed by,the the Alumni of Old Diamond Jubilee Hostel} in its sincere endeavour to reciprocate and repay what it owns to its alma-mater and fulfilling its duty toward society ,has constructed one hostel building which would be working on the same value of ” character Development” along with providing basic needs to bright but needy students.We are committed

તું કૃપા કરે છે જો મારા પર તો ઉપેક્ષા અન્યની થાય છે
કે સમાનતાનો જ્યાં ભંગ હો , એ ઉદારતાનું હું શું કરું ?

બસ દોડતો રાખ્યો. રઈશ મનીઆર

ઉપર આકાશ કાયમ સ્થિર વ્યાપેલું ન દેખાયું
જનમભર આ ભટકતા વાદળે બસ દોડતો રાખ્યો.

મળ્યા જે એક સ્થળ પર લોક, બીજે ચીંધવા લાગ્યા
ને બીજેથી વળી ત્રીજા સ્થળે બસ દોડતો રાખ્યો.

ઘણા સત્યો બની સાંકળ ચરણ જકડીને બેઠા’તા,
ઋણી છું એનો જે મોહક છળે બસ દોડતો રાખ્યો.

જીવન જો આ જ પળ હો તો આ પળમાં ખૂબ શાંતિ છે,
સતત ઘૂમરાતી આગામી પળે બસ દોડતો રાખ્યો.

હતી મુજ હાજરી મારી જીવનઘટનામાં આવશ્યક,
મને તેં રસ વગર ઘટનાસ્થળે બસ દોડતો રાખ્યો

સૂકા થડ ગોઠવી સમજી ચિતા હું સૂઈ જાતે પણ
નવી ફૂટેલ તાજી કૂંપળે બસ દોડતો રાખ્યો.
